Daily Dish

Good comment from Andrew Sullivan here:
"These are moments in history whose salience it is simply impossible to know as they happen. But today has already demonstrated both the total bankruptcy of the current Iranian regime and the immense bravery, humanity and genius of the Iranian people."

Iranians are not fanatical zealots. Iranians have few in common with extremist arab islamics. Iranian women are not passive, they are in the streets fighting for democracy and showing their faces without fear. Not only students are participating but people of all ages. Basiji militia are mostly from poorer origin, unfortunately without proper instruciton and easily manipulated to beat, torture and kill their own compatriotes. Basiji are controled by the Interior Ministry where lays the 'power' of Ahmadinedjad. The Iranian Army must show its face and stop their women, sons and daughters being beaten savagely and killed.

Moreover, Basiji have many 'imported' fanatical arabs, from Syria and Lebanon. We see foreigners being well paid by the Iranian government to beat and kill Iranian citizens. Khamenei: This MUST Stop! You decided on your statemnet on Saturday, you took position against Iranian people, your own citizens. You must step aside.
